Katy Kepler
Co-Director, Immersive Theatre/Resident Artist
Katy Kepler is a multidisciplinary theatre artist, neurodivergent self-advocate, and superfan of play and sensory theatre. In addition to co-creating Risky Disco, an inclusive dance party and sensory workshop produced by Common Senses, Katy has championed accessibility in the arts throughout her career. She is the creator of Beatwood Hollow, a sensory theatre piece which premiered through the VROOM! Mobile Sensory Theatre. With experience as a director, performer, production/stage manager, administrator, playwright, devisor, and teaching artist, Katy has been found both onstage and behind-the-scenes across theatres, festivals, and nonprofits. In the classroom, Katy can be found working with students of all ages and abilities. She is the founder of Sensory Squad, a residency for children and siblings staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Omaha, and is part of the Nebraska Arts Council Teaching Artist Roster. Katy is thrilled to be a part of Common Senses, where she finds herself at the intersection of her love of arts, festivals, and advocacy. Katy received her B.S. in Theatre from SUNY Brockport.
