Ticket to Ride Demo & Gameplay

All aboard for an evening of trains, strategy, and friendly competition! Join us at Spielbound Board Game Cafe to learn and play Ticket to Ride, one of the most popular gateway board games of all time.

We'll begin with a beginner-friendly demo that teaches the rules, game flow, and basic strategies, making it easy for first-time players to jump in. No prior experience is needed—just bring your enthusiasm!

After the demo, everyone will break into groups to play a full game of Ticket to Ride. Whether you're completely new to the game or already a seasoned conductor, this is a great opportunity to meet other players, sharpen your skills, and have a fun evening of board gaming.

Come claim your routes, connect cities, and see who can build the greatest rail network!

Demo begins at 6:00 PM; regular gameplay begins at 7:00 PM.

Food and drink is available to order at the front counter.

ABOUT TICKET TO RIDE:

Duration: 30-60 Minutes per game

Players: 2-5

Age: Recommended for ages 8 and up

Description: With elegantly simple gameplay, Ticket to Ride can be learned in under 15 minutes. Players collect cards of various types of train cars they then use to claim railway routes in North America. The longer the routes, the more points they earn. Additional points come to those who fulfill Destination Tickets - goal cards that connect distant cities; and to the player who builds the longest continuous route.

Ticket to Ride continues in the tradition of Days of Wonder’s big format board games featuring high-quality illustrations and components including: an oversized board map of North America, 225 custom-molded train cards, 144 illustrated cards, and wooden scoring markers.
